Over 9,000 hardware & lumber stores nationwide, founded in 1945 and headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Do it Best is the only US-based, member-owned comprehensive and fully integrated hardware, lumber and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry. The cooperative comprises thousands of member-owned locations across the United States and more than 50 other countries. They purchased True Value in fall of 2024.
Partnership with SKKR
SKKR has been a partner with DIB for over 30 years, representing various lines in the Outdoor Living/Lawn and Garden departments. Since partnering with Do It Best, SKKR’s portfolio of stocked manufacturers has grown to include products from grills, patio furniture, heaters, fans, canopies and more.
Vendor of the year 3 times for Weber products over the past 30 years. Recently as of 2024. We represented Coleman Products we were vendor of the year back in 2000.
